The Marion Conservation Commission will hold a continued public hearing on Wednesday, July 24, at 7:00 pm at the Marion Police Department Conference Room 550 Mill Street, also available via Microsoft Teams (Remote Participation Option), on a Notice of Intent submitted by Blue Fin Realty, for proposed construction of a residential dwelling with associated landscaping, driveway, utilities and grading at Wareham Street.

The Marion Board of Health will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 4:40 pm in the meeting room of the Marion Town House at 2 Spring Street on the variance request submitted by G.A.F. Engineering, Inc. pertaining to the property located at 806 Mill Street, further identified as Map 17, Lots 12 & 15A.
The following variance is requested from the Marion Sanitary Code (MSC):
M.S.C. Section 4.180: Septic System Denitrification Regulation: Request a Variance to not install a Denitrification system.
The following variance is requested from Title 5 of the State Environmental Code:
310 CMR 15.224(2) and (3): Multiple Compartment Tanks: This section requires the first compartment to be sized for a minimum hydraulic retention time of 48 hours based on the design flow. The first septic tank compartment has a 1,000-gallon capacity. The design flow of 619 gallons per day would require the first compartment to have 1,238 gallons.
The second compartment has a 500-gallon capacity. This section requires the second compartment to be sized for a minimum hydraulic retention time of 24 hours based on the design flow. The design flow of 619 gallons per day would require the second compartment to have a capacity of 619 gallons.
