The Mattapoisett Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 6:30 pm in the Town Hall (in person and remotely via Zoom **) on a Notice of Intent submitted by Edward and Sarah Calder, 13 Shipyard Lane, Mattapoisett, MA 02739. The proposed project is to add a 3-car garage and remove invasive plants and re-plant with native species at 13 Shipyard Lane. The garage is located within the VE/AE coastal flood zones and the invasive plant removal is located in the coastal dune and its buffer. PURPOSE: The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Corridor Improvements and Related Work on Main Street, Water Street, Beacon Street and Marion Road project. All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
PROPOSAL: The proposed project consists of the reconstruction of Main Street, Water Street, Beacon Street and Marion Street between Acushnet Road and Route 6 (a total distance of approximately 1.54 miles). The project will include construction of new concrete sidewalks, varying in width from 5 feet to 11 feet wide, on at least one side of the roadway for the entire project length.
This location is accessible to people with disabilities.
