David T. Gingras, 56, of Mattapoisett passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2020.
A lifelong resident of Mattapoisett, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Elizabeth M. (Beehan) Gingras. He was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School.
He enjoyed music, beekeeping, boating, aviation, and history. His quick wit and knowledge on various subjects will be truly missed.
Survivors include his 2 sons, Cody and Seth Oliveira-Gingras, both of Dartmouth; 2 brothers, Paul Gingras and Robert A. Gingras, Jr., and his partner Kirsten Taylor, all of Mattapoisett; 2 sisters, Carol Lawrence and her husband David of Mattapoisett and Elizabeth Gingras of Rochester; several nieces and nephews, and his great niece.
Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, his Funeral Mass and burial will be private for immediate family. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett. I knew David as a wonderful young man. He was always smiling with a warm heart. David was always polite, hard working and a good man. I will miss him cutting his dad’s lawn, helping around the family’s homestead tossing wave to passerby. Charlie Duponte
