The elevator at the Millicent Library in Fairhaven will be undergoing a major rebuild starting on November 28. The elevator lobby and restroom on the Walnut Street side will be closed and patrons will have to use the front stairs on Center Street facing the Town Hall.
There will be no library storytimes until the project is done. As always, the archives will only be open by appointment.
Please call 508-992-5342 or email clongworth@sailsinc.org if you have a related library problem that the library may be able to solve.
The entire library will be closed completely for one or two days while they actually dig the pit. The library will alert patrons by signs and the website as soon as the date is known. Right now it is projected to be December 5 and maybe December 6. The project is expected to end around December 20.
The Millicent Library is located at 45 Center Street, in Fairhaven. For more information, call 508-992-5342, or contact Children’s Librarian Jane Murphy: jmurphy@sailsinc.org. The library is handicapped accessible.
