The good news is that the Mattapoisett Town Clerk’s Office has licensed almost 1,100 dogs for 2023.
The bad news is that, according to our records, there are over 300 unlicensed dogs running around town. Please help by either coming in to license your furry friend or letting us know that you have moved, or they have passed away. As of June 1st, a late fee of $10 has been added to the annual fees of $9 or $12, depending on whether your pet is spayed or neutered. If you are unsure of your canine’s license status, please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 508-758-4100, extension 2. Late fees increase to $20 on September 1.
