Auditions for Be My Baby at the MAC

The Marion Art Center (MAC) has announced open auditions for the upcoming production of Be My Baby by Ken Ludwig, directed by Pippa Asker.

Be My Baby tells the story of John, an irascible Scotsman, and Maud, an uptight English woman, both in their 60s, who take on the journey of a lifetime. When their young wards, Christy and Gloria, decide to marry and then decide to adopt a child, the older couple (who despise each other) have to travel 6,000 miles to California to pick up the child and bring her safely home to Scotland. Along the way they encounter a host of characters (played by a male and a female who play them all!) and form a new partnership while caring for the helpless newborn. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant, Be My Baby is a heartwarming story of life, of loss, and most of all, love.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 2, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, and on Tuesday, March 5, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Marion Art Center, 80 Pleasant St. (the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets), in Marion, MA.
