Children came dressed in stripes, wearing hats and toting copies of their favorite Dr. Seuss books. The cafeteria served green eggs and ham for lunch, and throughout the day, everyone enjoyed many of the wonderful books that Dr. Seuss wrote. Painting Party459 viewsFriends, neighbors and family of Curtis Doherty joined forces with the Marion DPW to spruce up the Silvershell Beach bath house in Marion over the past several weekends, painting it with environmentally-friendly, low VOC paint. Curtis spent countless hours over his lifetime on Silvershell Beach’s basketball court which flanks the bathhouse. Last year, teammates and friends designed and constructed granite and wood benches for the basketball court in Curtis’ memory.     (4 votes)
