Scouts raced carts down Holmes Street in Marion for a chance to help make their den the fastest in the pack. Ms. Flavin is the illustrator of Joseph Bruchac’s play Pushing Up the Sky featured in the 3rd Graders reading book. Her presentation included showing the students original sketches and artwork from her books, discussing the processes involved in creating artwork for publication and a short hands-on drawing project.
