Children came dressed in stripes, wearing hats and toting copies of their favorite Dr. Seuss books. The cafeteria served green eggs and ham for lunch, and throughout the day, everyone enjoyed many of the wonderful books that Dr. Seuss wrote. They were most fortunate to have New Bedford Lion, John Hoyle, a Past International Director of Lions Clubs International, serve as Installing Officer.
Lion Hoyle began by briefly instructing the incoming Board of Directors, Mattapoistt Lions Paul Levine, Clay King, Pierre Bernier and Jeff Swift in the importance of their duties.

Santa Arrives334 viewsMattapoisett held its annual holiday celebration and tree lighting on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Shipyard Park. The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers.
