This annual event is sugar on the plums for anyone who appreciates live music. The combined voices and instruments of over 60 performers filled the church with pitch perfect music telling the story of Jesus’ birth. Manguito members really captured the attention of the kids, resulting in plenty of learning while the group’s sizzling salsa and merengue music resulted in an eruption of dancing and spontaneous conga lines. In its 52nd concert season, the band welcomed guest French Horn Instrumentalist Roger Haber, and recognized Trumpeter Edith Pliskin on her 94th birthday coming up next week.
