The pinewood derby is a tradition that was started back in 1963 in Manhattan Beach, California and persists to this day. Tour de Crème257 viewsThis Sunday was the third annual Tour de Crème, a fundraising partnership between the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path. The ride started at the Town Beach and wound its way through the Southcoast, making stops at the various creameries along the way. This year’s weather was a major improvement from last year’s soaking, but overall participation was down this year.
