Leaving Portland, Oregon on May 2, the two childhood friends arrived at Buteyne’s parents’ driveway about a month earlier than anticipated, greeted by family, friends, confetti, cookies, and of course, hugs. Sippican Lands Trust 243 viewsJim Bride, Sippican Lands Trust executive director, and contractor W.S. Bradford welcomed the public to a groundbreaking ceremony for an 1,800-foot universally accessible wheelchair boardwalk on June 29 at the SLT’s Osprey Marsh property on Point Road in Marion. SLT board members, contributors, and a few community members were in attendance. They hope to have the 1,800 ft. all accessible/wheelchair boardwalk completed in six months. This boardwalk will be the first of its kind in the Southcoast region.
