Bike Run 353 viewsThe weather was perfect for a motorcycle ride at the second annual Brad Barrows Memorial Athletic Scholarship Motorcycle Run on September 17, 2011. Motorcyclists paid $20 per bike to participate in the run from Mattapoisett to Wareham and back, with the proceeds benefitting youth sports in Mattapoisett, Marion, Rochester and Fairhaven. There was food from local establishments, ornament making, merry music and Santa! The moment was enough to spur two romantic marriage proposals. Memorial Day Boat Race353 viewsOn Monday, dozens of boats hit the Mattapoisett River for the 78th Annual Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race. Boat 1, comprised of Sean Shaw of Rochester and C.J.
