The pouring rain didn’t stop Santa from spreading candy and holiday cheer to the crowd of exciting children. Over 20 girls dressed in their pink and red finest enjoyed dainty finger foods, festive cupcakes, red fruit punch, and tea. Revelers enjoyed the patriotic music of Phil Sanborn and the Marion Concert Band while brilliant colors illuminated the harbor. On Saturday, September 18, the Brad Barrows motorcycle run raised money for Tri-Town youth sports, and on Sunday, September 19, the Ride for Alex poker run raised money to offset medical costs for Alex Pateakos, a Marion boy who lives with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Buzzards Bay Swim317 viewsOn Saturday, July 2, 2011, the Buzzards Bay Coalition held its 18th Annual Buzzards Bay Swim, a 1.2-mile open-water swim from New Bedford to Fairhaven. Tri-Town participants were included in the largest annual fundraising event held by the Bay Coalition.
