Marion Boy Scouts319 viewsTroop 32 Marion Boy Scouts and their parents went on a ski trip on February 22, 2015 to Ragged Mountain. Some of what Boy Scouts is about is exposure to new things, so Ragged Mountain was a good choice as a beginner’s mountain. Two of the Scouts and two of the parents (and even a Scout sibling) started the day with a beginner’s lesson, Chris Horton on a snowboard.

Between 300 and 400 guests came to sample the chowder of 16 different teams, split into two categories: public safety and professional. Marion Natural History Museum319 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum wishes to thank Jim Pierson for a wonderful program on collecting rocks and fossils. We learned about geology vs. paleontology equipment and how fossils are made. We also had a chance to make our own Megladon tooth to take home.
