Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Heritage Days 2011316 viewsThe Fairhaven Village Militia made their annual encampment along the Mattapoisett River on August 6, 2011, as a part of Heritage Days. The Militia demonstrated 18th century living, made beef stew, completed drills, and talked about the dentistry methods of that time period. Ladder 49316 viewsThis month, the Rochester Fire Department received a piece of steel from the World Trade Center to be displayed at the Rochester Firefighter's Memorial. It was brought into town on Rochester's Ladder 1, formerly "Ladder 49" of FDNY.
