Army Sergeant Ryan McGrath also returned on Thursday, September 1. Mattapoisett resident Kim Corazzini, a friend of the Rosperich family, led over 20 volunteers to give the men a proper welcome, which included lining Route 6 with yellow ribbons, American flags and welcome home signs. It was brought into town on Rochester's Ladder 1, formerly "Ladder 49" of FDNY. There was food from local establishments, ornament making, merry music and Santa! The moment was enough to spur two romantic marriage proposals.
