Marion Holiday Stroll356 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. The shows start at 7:30 pm at Tabor’s Fireman Center for the Performing Arts in Hoyt Hall at 245 Front Street, Marion. The show stars Storm Lanzoni as the charming and rather acrobatic Aladdin, Emma Zhou as Princess Jasmine, plus, not one, but three genies – Cattarinha Nunes as the Genie of the Ring, Jackson Veugen as the Genie of the Jewels, and Nicole Londergan as the Genie of the Lamp. While half the students head off for Survival, the others enjoy a week of equally challenging tasks of the 40-year tradition of SCOPE that gives students a chance to learn while learning about themselves and each other.
