SLT Oyster Fest 353 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos. Mattapoisett YMCA353 viewsOn Sunday, October 20, the Mattapoisett YMCA hosted its first annual Harbor Brew Fest. Participants enjoyed this sunny day of local brew tastings, live music by Sean Carney, and fresh scallops, while overlooking beautiful Mattapoisett Harbor. A bonfire on the beach accompanied by a smores bar added to the fun. All proceeds from the event will go towards the Mattapoisett YMCA’s Annual Campaign that helps deserving children attend summer camp, preschool and afterschool care.
