Maxwell, the organist and choir director of the First Congregational Church in Marion for 57 years, will be honored at a retirement celebration service on Sunday, September 9, followed by an 11:00 am reception in the community center. Bill’s service has spanned the terms of seven ministers and three interim ministers. He has provided musical direction for well over 2,300 services.
