Each teacher devised their own scavenger hunt for the kids that helped the students discover their classrooms. Marion Halloween Parade 2017356 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. Marine Becket Kiernan356 viewsOn Friday, February 16, Class of 2017 ORR graduate and 18-year-old Marine Becket Kiernan was laid to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. All of Old Rochester lined the side of Route 6 for a final farewell to Becket as Principal Mike Devoll stood solemnly as the procession passed beneath the giant U.S. flag suspended by two local ladder trucks. Octopurrfest356 viewsOctopurrfest is one of those annual fundraisers that get bigger and better every year. It’s All About the Animals, a non-profit cat shelter in Rochester, hosted its Halloween-themed outdoor event on Sunday, Octopurr 14, featuring live music, a huge raffle, lots of vendors and food and, of course, a glimpse of all the adorable kittens and cats available for adoption.
