Plymouth Sands Trail Riders 283 viewsOn Sunday, October 28, the Plymouth Sands Trail Riders bike club held a hare scramble at the Mattapoisett landfill. The club, which boasts over 300 members from all around New England, had over 100 riders participate in the event. Riders from teens up to seniors took off for the 40 minute races around the 2.5 mile wooded track. ORR Track283 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School indoor track and field team took first in most of the events of the meet held at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School on Monday, December 31. ORR was in competition against several area high schools including GNB and Fairhaven High School. In the races, the ORR girls took first place in the 50 HH, 50 D, 600M, 300M, and 1M. Squash at Tabor283 viewsOn Saturday, January 4, 2013, Tabor Academy hosted Phillips Exeter Academy in a women’s junior varsity and varsity squash tournament. The Tabor team, which has almost 40 players, had a 1-2 record going into Saturday’s competition. Tabor Hockey283 viewsOn Sunday, January 6, the Tabor Academy Varsity B Hockey Team hosted Academie St. Louis from Quebec, Canada for a non-conference game. Once a year, a team travels down from Canada, and while the Seawolves were not victorious, the game proved to be a learning experience for the players facing off in an international match up.
