Pizza with Santa360 viewsThe Marion Police Brotherhood held its annual Pizza with Santa at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center on Sunday, December 8. ‘Chief’ Santa and Mrs. Claus entertained the little ones before enjoying a pizza lunch. Celebrate the World360 viewsThe "Celebrate the World" performance by Rochester Memorial School fourth-graders took place on January 23. The show was a creative, educational collaboration between grade 4 teachers, music teachers Sue Audette and Chris Williamson, and art teacher Joanne Smith. Quoting RMS Principal Derek Medeiros: "This grade 4 production is a wonderful representation of our goal to ensure global experiences for our students through our strategic and school improvement plans.

Waterman school, which was in the building that now houses the Rochester Fire Department, was the forerunner to RMS during the first half of the Twentieth Century. Children and their grandparents had fun playing bean-bag toss, bocce, posing with the Three Stooges, and more. The face-painting and petting zoo areas were a complete hit! Santa Arrives359 viewsMattapoisett held its annual holiday celebration and tree lighting on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Shipyard Park. The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers. Children made their own ornaments and hung them on the Christmas tree. They also danced with Rudolph and Frosty and shared their Christmas wishes with Santa Claus. Photo by Felix Perez.
