Rochester Scout287 viewsRochester Lions Club members joined forces again on December 15 with Scout Troop 31 and other community volunteers at the Council on Aging to help make the COA’s Christmas Holiday Dinner program successful. Scouts packed 68 Christmas dinner bags of turkey, fresh vegetables, and all the fixings for delivery. The Rochester Lions Club works hard all year to raise the funds to provide these holiday meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas to area seniors and families in need.

DECA is a program dedicated to preparing young students for the real world. Specifically, it focuses on a wide variety of business subjects, from management to accounting to tourism. There is something for everyone to do in DECA, and there is something for everyone to get out of DECA. There are over 250,000 members nationwide, and a striking 50 students at Old Rochester.

Escorted by several Rochester policemen on foot, participants who had gathered in front of Town Hall marched down Dexter Lane to the police station, where several individuals spoke about racism and told stories of discrimination based on skin color.
