Tie a Blue Ribbon290 viewsDon't fear the ribbon. Marion residents may see blue ribbons around trees in the village area, marking particularly large trees near power lines. N Star has attached blue ribbons to "wish list" trees that they would like to remove. They will be in contact with the property owners, who will be able to grant or deny permission. Block Party!290 viewsIt was a little earlier than usual, but the annual Marion Block Party on August 28, 2010 went off without a hitch. Children enjoyed cotton candy, a bounce house and face-painting, while the grown-ups enjoyed conversation and good weather. It was an appropriate send-off to summer, before Old Rochester schools started back up on September 1. Photo by Felix Perez.
