Each week the lifeguards conduct training drills throughout the summer season. This particular drill was done with the Marion Harbormaster's Department and the Marion Fire/EMS Department.

Marion Natural History Museum328 viewsOn Wednesday, October 23 the Marion Natural History Museum's afterschool group went on a fall nature walk looking for signs of fall. One lucky student found an owl pellet under a tree! We were able to find burrows, nests, and even a small snake hiding under a log. We observed the different colors of the leaves of trees and shrubs and looked for mushrooms. It was great to spend such a beautiful fall day with these inquisitive kids!

Class of 2020 328 viewsGraduating seniors in the Old Rochester Regional High School Class of 2020 drove around to the back of the school building on May 28, where they were greeted by faculty and administration. After arriving in order of homeroom to ensure safe spacing, the seniors turned in textbooks and received yearbooks, a surprise COVID-19 gift bag, and a long-sleeve t-shirt decorated with the mascot Bulldog and the word ‘Quarantine’ spelled across the front. The public was welcome to tour the facilities, and children enjoyed exploring all the engines available at the station.
