Harbor Days Craze369 viewsThe town gazebo was the scene of another sultry Harbor Days this past weekend. Rows of vendors peddled their fun wares while visitors of all ages enjoyed music, conversation and the best strawberry shortcake in the world. The festivities started in earnest on Friday night with chowder and seafood rolls, and continued until Sunday. Only 51 more weeks until Harbor Days 2011! Photos by Felix Perez.

Close to 240 people came to enjoy an old-fashioned clambake with the Lions’ Club, the Mattapoisett Boy Scout Troop 53, Mattapoisett firefighters, and the Firefighters Auxiliary Club all pitching in to help. National Merit Scholarship Program369 viewsBishop Stang High School, a diocesan, co-educational, college preparatory school located on the Southcoast, has announced that three seniors have been commended in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program – Lorenzo Dube, Regina Kaplan and Alexander Pacheco.
This year’s commended students were notified and recognized by the faculty, staff and students at Bishop Stang High School. Lorenzo Dube is a Dartmouth resident, Regina Kaplan lives in Mattapoisett and Alexander Pacheco is from Westport.
