The town appropriated $3.8 million for the new building, which replaces the old police station on Spring Street. Among those in attendance were Police Chief Lincoln Miller, the Marion police department, the Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator Paul Dawson, Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald and members of the Police Station Building Committee. Gifts To Give316 viewsOn Saturday, September 11, approximately 40 children from Marion Pack 32 Boy, Cub and Girl Scout troops, along with a dozen parents, met at New Bedford’s Gifts To Give to lend a hand to a worthy cause. Gifts to Give, located on Cove Street in New Bedford, is a non-profit agency that helps connect children and families to services that they need. They provide clothing, toys, books, infant supplies and school supplies to families in need through a referral service. Photo by Terri Villa

Paul Kelley, 76, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011, after a battle with cancer.
