The public was welcome to tour the facilities, and children enjoyed exploring all the engines available at the station. Relay for Life333 viewsChildren went to the Center School in Mattapoisett to make their own ornaments and gifts at the Relay for Life workshop on December 6, 2009. For a $6 donation, children could pick from crafts like pine cone Christmas trees, clothes-pin reindeer, and foam ornaments – paint, glitter and glue were in abundant supply. Annual Tree Sale333 viewsA Decorating Committee from the Sippican Woman’s Club produced over 50 festive trees for the Tree Spree, which started in Handy’s Tavern. The tavern was decked out with themed trees, including a Barbie tree, a Hannukah tree, a Mallard duck tree, and even a tree decorated with recycled items like bottles and plastic bags.
