7th Grade Travel Team 397 viewsThe Old Rochester Bulldogs 7th Grade Travel Team were recently crowned Champions at the Old Rochester Basketball Holiday Tournament hosted by Tabor Academy The boys went 4-0 beating Lakeville twice and Middleboro once with a final win against Bridgewater. Veterans Day Ceremony in Mattapoiset397 viewsOn November 11 following the Veterans Day Ceremony at Old Hammondtown School in Mattapoisett, members of Boy Scout Troop 53 performed a flag decommissioning ceremony at the Mattapoisett Land Trust’s Dunseith Gardens. Flags had been placed in decommissioning boxes built by Drew Robert for his Eagle project. The flags were then collected from the boxes located at the police department, town hall and public library and prepared for burning and burial.

Octopurr Fest397 viewsIt’s All About the Animals held its 5th annual Octopurr Fest on October 6. The fundraiser featured food, games, music, and craft booths. Owner and operator of the no-kill shelter, Pam Robinson, said 100 percent of all proceeds would go directly to the care of the felines.
