Poker Run427 viewsMotorcyclists gathered Sunday morning, September 20, in the parking lot of ORR to ride in the third annual Poker Run for Alex Pateakos. Alex is a five-year-old Marion boy who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Money raised by the poker run will benefit Alex, and Families of SMA, a group that helps families like the Pateakos live their lives as close to normal as possible. Santa Arrives427 viewsMattapoisett held its annual holiday celebration and tree lighting on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Shipyard Park. The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers. Ready, Set, Go!427 viewsOn Sunday, March 21, 2010 The Marion Cub Scouts Pack 32 revived the annual soap-box derby after a three-year absence. Scouts raced carts down Holmes Street in Marion for a chance to help make their den the fastest in the pack.
