Museum Mural379 viewsA large 6 by 16 foot Clifford Ashley mural was donated to the Mattapoisett Museum by Polly Phipps of 20 Water Street. The mural, which depicts the Southcoast of Massachusetts from the Connecticut River to the Cape and Islands, hung in the Water Street home for 90 years before being donated to the Museum. Mattapoisett Historical Society President Seth Mendell said that after the mural is professionally restored, it will be mounted on the wall in the Museum. Photo by Anne O'Brien-Kakley.

This year’s race had more runners than ever, despite the wind and cold temperatures. Rochester Green379 views'Tis the season, once more! On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26, 2011, locals stopped by the Rochester Women's Clubhouse to pick up their fresh wreaths and trees. The proceeds from the sale helped the Rochester Women's Club purchase a new roof for their Clubhouse. The tree and wreath sale will continue on the weekends of December 3 and 4 and December 10 and 11 from noon to 2:00 pm.
