ORR Hockey394 viewsOn Saturday, January 19, the Old Rochester Regional Varsity Ice Hockey Team ventured to the John Gallo Ice Arena in Bourne to face off against the Wareham Vikings. Members of the ORR team check out the scoreboard, which was quite active all night. The official score for the game was 12-2 in ORR’s favor, however, the scoreboard stopped keeping score at 8-2 due to the landslide victory. Hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club every year, the triathlon takes racers .25 miles from the shore of Town Beach and back, 10 miles bicycling through Mattapoisett, and 5K through the village around Ned’s Point Lighthouse. SLT Oyster Fest 394 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos.
