The eagle sighting in Marion was indicative of the population recovery that bald eagles are making in the United States. Chinese Culture454 viewsChildren learned about Chinese culture and the Year of the Rabbit at a February 24, 2011 Mattapoisett library event. Librarian Linda Burke read a traditional Chinese story, and then the children enjoyed making their own dragons, watched as Haiying Zhang wrote their names in Mandarin, and tried eating fried rice with chopsticks. Old Rochester Little League454 viewsThe Old Rochester Little League celebrated its Opening Day of the 2016 season on Saturday, April 30 at Gifford Park off Dexter Road in Rochester. The young athletes took part in the traditional Opening Day parade, which began at Dexter Park and concluded at Dexter Field.
