Souza, USA, will be the principal speaker for Mattapoisett’s annual Veterans’ Day Ceremonies to be held on Tuesday, November 11 beginning at 11:00 am at Old Hammondtown School. Colonel Souza enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard in 1983. She was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in August 1984 after graduating from the Massachusetts Military Academy.

Bikes, Bikes, Bikes!475 viewsThe Third Annual Pan Mass Challenge Kids Tri-Town Ride attracted several hundred young bicyclist to the ORR campus on Saturday morning, May 16, for a bike rally to help defeat cancer. Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research. Circus Time475 viewsThe Cole Brothers Circus made its annual visit to Rochester's Plumb Corner on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25. The Circus, which featured highflying aerial acts, animal acts and plenty of clowns played four shows under the big top during its two-day stay. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor.
