SLT Oyster Fest 459 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos. Welcome to the Camp458 viewsCarl Robideau, Director of Camp Massasoit at the Mattapoisett branch of the YMCA Southcoast, recently led a tour of the summer camp facility on April 21 to provide prospective parents with an overview of what the program has to offer. Camp Massasoit offers programs for children of all ages starting with their Scamper Camp program aimed at preschool aged children, 4 to 5 years of age, up to their Counselor-In-Training program for teenagers, 15 to 16 years of age. Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research. Circus Time458 viewsThe Cole Brothers Circus made its annual visit to Rochester's Plumb Corner on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25. The Circus, which featured highflying aerial acts, animal acts and plenty of clowns played four shows under the big top during its two-day stay.
