Town Hall Improvements413 viewsThe students from Old Colony Vocational High School led by Mr. Stu Norton repair and reconstruct the handicap ramp at the Mattapoisett Town hall. The students will be back in September to complete the re-construction of the emergency staircase leading from the second floor to grade. The Town has saved appx. $20,000.00 in labor costs and has provided the students a great learning experience and given them a sense of pride that can't be beat. Cleaning Up413 views135 volunteers fanned out across Old Sippican armed with rubbish bags, gloves and “Manducca” trash grabbers helping to make Marion a bit greener during the town's Arbor Day Spring Clean up. Marion has held the event annually, under a variety of names, over the past three decades, encouraging residents to take pride in their community by clearing the roadways of trash and debris.
