Do-Si-Do in Marion508 viewsOn Sunday, September 14, the first of what is hoped to be an annual series of Marion Square Dances was held inside the Marion Community Center. Although initially slated to take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Marion General Store, the weekend’s rainy weather forced the event indoors. Town Hall Improvements508 viewsThe students from Old Colony Vocational High School led by Mr. Stu Norton repair and reconstruct the handicap ramp at the Mattapoisett Town hall. The students will be back in September to complete the re-construction of the emergency staircase leading from the second floor to grade. The Town has saved appx. $20,000.00 in labor costs and has provided the students a great learning experience and given them a sense of pride that can't be beat.
