By The Numbers530 viewsOn Monday morning, February 23, Congressman Barney Frank honored 54 students from Old Rochester Regional Senior High School for scoring in the top 25th percentile in the National Financial Literacy Challenge. These 54 students topped out in a pool of over 75,000 test takers after taking extensive Junior Achievement classes on budgeting, saving and investing, credit, identity protection and risk management.

Fish Story530 viewsThe Buzzards Bay Anglers Club hosted the First Annual Gus Casassa Scup Cup fishing tournament at the Mattapoisett Wharves on Saturday, July 11. The event attracted about 20 youngsters aged twelve and younger with each child receiving a new fishing rod and reel as part of their entry. Babes in Toyland530 viewsMattapoisett held its annual holiday celebration and tree lighting on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Shipyard Park. The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers.
