Town Hall Improvements440 viewsThe students from Old Colony Vocational High School led by Mr. Stu Norton repair and reconstruct the handicap ramp at the Mattapoisett Town hall. The students will be back in September to complete the re-construction of the emergency staircase leading from the second floor to grade. The Town has saved appx. $20,000.00 in labor costs and has provided the students a great learning experience and given them a sense of pride that can't be beat. Relay for Life440 viewsThe American Cancer Society held their Annual Relay for Life of the Tri-Towns from 6:00p.m. on Friday, June 12 until noon on Saturday June 13 at Old Rochester Regional High School's track. Fish Story440 viewsThe Buzzards Bay Anglers Club hosted the First Annual Gus Casassa Scup Cup fishing tournament at the Mattapoisett Wharves on Saturday, July 11. The event attracted about 20 youngsters aged twelve and younger with each child receiving a new fishing rod and reel as part of their entry.
