Rochester Memorial Day10 viewsThe Town of Rochester held a Memorial Day procession on May 26 from Town Hall to Daggett Square, where the Select Board read the names of residents who served in the Civil War and foreign conflicts. Cardboard Boats10 viewsGrade 7 students at Old Rochester Regional Junior High School took to the beach on Tuesday morning for a field day at the Mattapoisett YMCA that featured a cardboard boat race. Class of 202410 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian Jacob Hadley was introduced by Theodore Cecil, his cousin and chapter president of the National Honor Society. The June 1 commencement featured remarks from Superintendent of Schools Mike Nelson and Principal Mike Devoll and music from the school band. While ORR’s 153-member class was delirious upon the completion of the ceremony, the day’s loudest roar was reserved for the announcement of the diploma for the late Emma Whittaker. Photos by Mick
