Bright blue skies graced the heavens while here on earth, children cavorted across Shipyard Park with seasonal tunes playing in the background like “Purple People Eater”.

Marion Veterans Day 59 viewsThe Town of Marion held Veterans Day ceremonies at Old Landing, where Marion resident and retired Navy Captain William J. Hollman gave the keynote address. Crocodile River Music59 viewsOn Saturday, May 17, as part of Art Week, the Marion Arts Center presented Crocodile River Music performing West African music and dance in Marion's Music Hall to an audience of about 70 people. Tidelines59 viewsOn May 24, the Marion Art Center opened its newest exhibit by Peter Stone titled “Tidelines.” Stone is a teacher, a philosopher of all things ecological, and a masterful artist. The paintings evoke nature’s many moods through tonal interpretations. The exhibit is open until June 15. On June 7, Stone will give a gallery talk at 11:00 am.
