Marion Veterans Day 18 viewsThe Town of Marion held Veterans Day ceremonies at Old Landing, where Marion resident and retired Navy Captain William J. Hollman gave the keynote address. Presiding was the Benjamin D. Cushing VFW Post 2425 Color Guard. The community also heard from Old Rochester Regional High School freshman James Devoll, who read the Governor's Proclamation, along with Town Administrator Geoff Gorman, Select Board Chairman Norm Hills, Reverend Eric W. Osterday, and the Sippican Elementary School band

Holiday at Shipyard Park18 viewsMattapoisett’s annual Holiday at Shipyard Park was held on December 14 to the delight of the young and not-so-young. The family-centered event featured Mr. and Mrs. Clause, Frosty, and Rudolph as well as a really big beach chair. The holiday tree was festooned with decorated buoys in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mattapoisett Land Trust.
