Arts in the Park14 viewsThe Marion Art Center’s annual “Arts in the Park” event was greeted by a gorgeous weekend, as cars lined Marion’s streets and visitors strolled through Bicentennial Park, ducking into the shade of white tents to visit the many artisans and their goods. Patrons enjoyed live music outside the Art Center on Main Street, refreshments from a food truck and even visited with Elizabeth Taber. Photos by Mick Colageo

Marion Natural History Museum14 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's July Coastal Exploration group had a fun week exploring some of Marion's natural areas. We examined green frog tadpoles and a frog metamorphosis, were invited to explore Ram Island, visited the donkeys and learned about filter feeders, including some of the largest ones like whales. We explored a salt marsh, cleaned up a rocky beach at Planting Island and removed the plastic waste from the wrack line before it entered or reentered the bay. Photo courtesy of Elizabeth Leid
