Little Free Diverse Library127 viewsIt's been a year since Tri-Town Against Racism’s first Little Free Diverse Library was installed at Ned's Point in Mattapoisett, and on May 12 TTAR members along with supporters gathered again to celebrate, this time the reopening of the little library that in November 2021 had been vandalized, destroying both the structure and the books it held. Approximately 70 Grade 6 graduates made the ferry ride from Mattapoisett to take part in a science field trip organized by the Mattapoisett Land Trust Education Committee and held in conjunction with the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the STEAM Academy. The boats assembled and were led around the perimeter of the harbor, passing close by the Mattapoisett Boatyard and signaling with loud horns in a show of support.
