Mattapoisett’s Fire Department79 viewsMattapoisett’s Fire Department opened its doors to the community on October 12 with a grand party filled with family, friends and pizza. The event was an opportunity for the department to highlight fire prevention while tiny tots donned helmets and rang the bell on an antique fire engine. “It’s a great success,” said Chief Andrew Murray of the event that hosted several hundred people of all ages. New Fire Engine Number 3 was on display having just a day before been added to the fleet.

30th Annual Tri-Town Thanksgiving Banquet for Seniors79 viewsOver 170 seniors from the Tri-Towns enjoyed a full turkey dinner served by over 60 Grade 7-8 student volunteers at the 30th Annual Tri-Town Thanksgiving Banquet for Seniors held on Nov. 19 at the Old Rochester Regional Junior High School. Over 50 door prizes included holiday gift sets, small home items, gift cards and over 60 meals were sent as to-go meals to Tri-Town and Wareham Council on Aging locations for seniors unable to attend the banquet in person.
