The wind was too strong to land on Bird Island, but we had a chance to view the activity on the island from the water and watch the terns catch some fish. Wylie Chair of Maritime Strategy at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, spoke to Marion citizens gathered at Old Landing for Veterans Day observances on November 11. Also speaking were Select Board Chair Norm Hills, Town Administrator Jay McGrail, and the Reverend Eric E. Fialho, rector of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church. Supporting with their participation were Marion Cub Scouts and the Sippican Elementary School Band under the direction of Hannah Moore.

Mattapoisett Rec Basketball Play Offs130 viewsTwo 3rd grade cousins went head to head at the Mattapoisett Rec Basketball Play Offs. Kai Ouellette from Center School and Harrison White from Rochester Memorial. The whole family went, parents, grandparents, aunts, siblings (Avery & Fiona White and Koa & Fynley Ouellette) and even their almost 95 year old great grand parents made it to the game!
