Mattapoisett Woman’s Club114 viewsAt the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club luncheon on March 17, members donated to support World Central Kitchen for Ukraine and filled a jar with cash and checks totaling $500. The next afternoon, March 18, several members of the Garden Group collaborated to create window-box displays at the Mattapoisett Post Office. The design was created by Sharon Doyon to show support for the people of Ukraine. The Garden Group was honored to have several people stop to comment and thank them for their efforts

Helping Hands and Hooves114 viewsOn April 30, a fundraising craft fair was held at the Red Oak Garden on the site of the Helping Hands and Hooves' garden on Aucoot Road in Mattapoisett. Organic materials produced on the acreage were made into various ornamental and utilitarian items, allowing the grace and beauty of nature's bounty to shine through. Old Rochester Regional High School Junior Class114 viewsRather than attending a brunch or family breakfast, several mothers (and some disgruntled teens) supported the Old Rochester Regional High School Junior Class through a calm and sweaty yoga class. Led by Elke Pierre, the class boasted a full house and was influenced by the theme of motherhood. Ms. Pierre not only hosted, but taught, deejayed and planned the yoga as a huge donation of time and effort to her son Markus Pierre’s class. A

Marion Natural History Museum114 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's July Coastal Exploration group had a fun week exploring some of Marion's natural areas. We examined green frog tadpoles and a frog metamorphosis, were invited to explore Ram Island, visited the donkeys and learned about filter feeders, including some of the largest ones like whales.
