The event was hosted by an ad hoc group collecting donations for those battling cancer. The group has been successful in their efforts to help offset the unseen costs associated with a cancer diagnosis impacting local families. Without access to the sport anywhere between Boston and Providence besides prep schools, Moronta is hoping clinics like last weekend’s will “grow the game” and eventually generate the interest to support a middle-school program in the area.
