Marion Natural History Museum23 viewsDespite having to reschedule the trip due to poor weather, October 3 was a perfect day to explore. We learned a little about the history of the structures that were built and destroyed during different winter storms and the Hurricane of 1938 which wiped out everything but the lighthouse. We heard that the lighthouse was built in 1819, and the original lighthouse keeper was William S. Moore.

Marion Natural History Museum23 viewsOn February 14, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group had a great time dissecting owl pellets. The students located skulls, both rodent and avian, and other assorted bones. After identification and close inspection under microscopes, these were then mounted on project boards to bring home. The Marion Natural History museum wishes to thank Tabor Academy volunteers Camden Jeppsin, Eddy Yeon, Noah Divon, Ryan Francis and Sulaiman Al Harthy for their help with this project.
